Free Shrink O’Matic Batch Image Resizer Tool

Shrink O’Matic Batch Image Re-sizer is simply amazingly easy to use.

I personally use Adobe Photoshop to do all my image work, including resizing. However, this is a tool I have had for quite sometime and certainly an overkill for just resizing an image.

I have had a lot of friends on message forums that I frequent that questioned me on how to re-size an image. When I saw this free tool I downloaded it to try it out and see if it would be worth recommending to my friends. It is certainly a great tool for this purpose.

You start off by setting up the job. You tell the Shrink O’Matic:

What folder you want it to place the re-sized image in
The maximum width and height you want the image to be
What format you want it saved in (.jpg, .gif, or .png )
If you want the image auto-renamed

Then you select the image you want to re-size on your hard drive (or drag and drop).

It will resize it and save it so quickly if you blink you missed it!

The first time I tried it I expected when I placed the image into the loading area of the program I would see the image and then it would be re-sized. I never saw any image. Just a message flashing so quick I didn’t hardly have time to read it.

I did this a dozen times muttering to myself that this thing does not work. I went to the folder I had assigned the program to store the new image and found a dozen images re-sized, ooops.
